Knights from Players Casino joined a large group of volunteers at a Surfrider Foundation Beach Cleanup over the weekend. Gathering in the morning with overcast skies foreshadowing what could have been a gloomy day, team members and their family members threw on orange vests, grabbed their trash pickers, and began scavenging for litter and debris. Not too far into the cleanup quest, clouds parted to reveal the sun shining bright, to make for a great day at the beach. Team members have again helped ensure a safer and more beautiful area for all while having a ton of fun in each other’s company. Afterward, the volunteers enjoyed a group meal at a local taco shack to reward themselves for their environmental stewardship efforts.
